2008
This doll featured on the cover of the International Journal of Art & Design Education, February 2009. Volume 28, Issue 1 to accompany an article called ‘Open Disclosures: Learning, Creativity and the Passage of Mental (Ill) Health’ by Olivia Sagan.
She lives in a box lined with the words, ‘I’m going to have to go now’. After being adopted as a baby I struggle with a fear of rejection, something that causes me great anxiety and is a recurring theme in much of my practice.

I have to go now
2008
Words have a great deal of power and can be interpreted in a variety of ways. The words ‘I have to go now’ and similar phrases scream ‘Rejection’ to me. I created a body of work around these words.
