Inspired by Hito Steyerl’s essay ‘In Free Fall: A Thought Experiment on Vertical Perspective’ (2010), I made a series of performance paintings. By standing precariously on a turntable with brushes attached to long sticks I attempted to paint in a state of disorientation.
